Just built PC. What are the possibilities for productivity, money and fun?
I built my PC with the idea of becoming an Amazon seller (recently opened an account and have 5 sales, obviously nothing but it's a start), expanding from there where I can and also with some light gaming in mind. I built it and was like, riiiight what do I do now... Going to purchase a product research tool. Watch some informative. videos. I could learn a programming language, used to know a bit of HTML & CSS, or get back into graphic/Web design, build PCs... What are some other good and current options? I know there's some legit survey sites where you can make money, but don't really think they're worth it. Any other good ways of making money I'm interested in. Dunno if forex is worth getting into. Bitcoin for sure. Plan to download and play Steam of course.. Happy to take the best game recommendations.. Any programs / tools that are fairly profitable to learn? Like WordPress? Any programs that you highly recommend? Just kinda stuck with what to do minds all over lol. Downloaded Firefox and some add-ons like Mozilla Color, spiced it up a bit.
Universal Bypass will now change its extension tab titles to reflect how many seconds are left on internal timers, i.e. if you've set "Take me to destinations after 5 seconds." the "You're almost at your destination." page will be called "(5) You're almost at your destination." and count down with the timer on the page.
Improved the way the version number is shown in the options to make it more apparent that bypass definitions are separate from the extension version
Fixed "Instantly take me to destinations of trackers" not working in Chromium-based browsers
Fixed cases of Universal Bypass being detected and improved the Linkvertise preflight bypass to allow for auto-updating of anti-detection rules
Added bypasses for: 4shared.com (download without login), cloudgallery.net, curimovie.com
Universal Bypass' built-in updating system for the injection script now also includes rules for preflight bypasses. Collectively, this is now called "bypass definitions."
Fixed "Close tab containing the crowd-sourced destination after x seconds of visiting it" still not always working on Firefox, and this solution doesn't even need the "Access browser tabs" permission anymore.
Changed default values of options with seconds and removed hint that "0" means instant because I think that's obvious.
Fixed "Close tab containing the crowd-sourced destination after x seconds of visiting it" not working on Firefox by adding the "Access browser tabs" permission. On Chromium-based browsers, this permission isn't needed, and Universal Bypass on Firefox doesn't do anything else with it.
Fixed instant navigation causing Google's "clever" code to break some bypasses
Added a timer to the "You're almost at your destination" page if the destination would detect Universal Bypass if you would navigate too quickly.
Improved shon.xyz bypass
Added filesupload.org bypass
Improved katmoviehd.nl bypass
Removed the option to disable the info box. The info box was added to prevent getting reports for websites which are bypassed by crowd bypass, but we still do. I believe people disable the option — maybe because "Show informational messages on some sites" sounds scary, maybe because they never encountered one — and then when they encounter a crowd-bypassed site, they have no indication of that, and report it. As always, I'd like to get some feedback on this, especially from other perspectives.
Custom bypass developers: You can now use "safelyAssign(...)" instead of "location.href = ..." or "location.assign(...)" which will assert that the URL is good before actually assigning, returns false if not. Note that you should only use this for instant redirects, for everything else "safelyNavigate(...)" is still recommended.
Added majidzhacker.com bypass to replace tinyurl.majidzhacker.com bypass
Improved the look of highlighted options in dark mode
Replaced "Automatically open crowd-sourced destinations in a new tab" option with "Open crowd-sourced destinations in a new tab after x second(s)" so it is in line with the new "Take me to destinations after x seconds" option added in 11.0. Again, I'd like to hear your feedback on these new, rather drastic changes.
Fixed firstrun page being opened in a new window on Firefox
Restyled options slightly to better fit custom bypasses
Some general code improvements
11.0 — The Timed Update
Replaced "Instantly take me to destinations" option with "Take me to destinations after x seconds" option which can be used to get the same effects as with the old option with the added feature of having a timer to automatically take you to the destination which I'm personally not a super fan of but I see the request from time to time and this seemed to be the best solution. I'd definitely like to hear your feedback on this.

What are some of the best apps you have on your Mac? here are mine
I have just upgraded my 2012 MBP to the latest one and am reviewing the software I have installed and going through what I use frequently enough to merit keeping on the brand new system. Figured I would share the list here and get some good recommendations from the community as well. Paid or free, does not matter. I love discovering new and useful apps and hope you find something new and interesting in this list too. Here is what I use frequently or semi-frequently:
Cost: Free (all core functionality) with paid features (themes and editor customizations) Site: https://standardnotes.org/ It is an open-source, end-to-end encrypted, cross-platform text based notes application. End-to-end encryption means no one (not even the company itself) can read the notes you keep here unless they have access to your password. It syncs flawlessly on all devices and the bulk and most useful features are free.
Cost: Free Site: https://www.mowglii.com/itsycal/ Great little utility that provides you with the calendar in the menu bar. Its provide a more concise but slightly less attractive menu calendar option than Fantastical 2.
Cost: $40 Site: https://flexibits.com/fantastical If you have been using MacOS for more than a few months then you surely have heard of it. It is a great calendar replacement.
Cost: Free Site: https://quassel-irc.org/ An open source and cross-platform IRC application. It is slightly less polished than the paid Textual 7 IRC app for MacOS but I use it because it provides the Core/Client capability. So I have the core running on an always on Windows server on my home network and I use the client app on my Mac and Windows computers to connect to the same IRC session. Sort of an always on IRC solution.
Cost: Free for one device, subscription for multiple devices Site: https://protonvpn.com/ An awesome VPN that provides unlimited bandwitdth for free for one device (at a time, so you can install on your iphone and ipad too but can only have one active connection at a time, for example, when travelling)
Signal Desktop Sync
Cost: Free Site: https://signal.org/ Free, open source, cross platform (no ipad) encrypted messaging app recommended by Edward Snowden.
Cost: Free on one device, Subscription for sync on multiple devices and features Site: https://dayoneapp.com/ A diary and journaling app that provides (for subscription) end-to-end encrypted syncing for your diaries on all your devices (iOS, iPadOS, MacOS only, no Windows and the web app does not support end-to-end encrypted journals).
MS Remote Desktop 10
Cost: Free Site: Get from Mac App Store Remote Desktop app for connecting to all Windows machines on your network or at work
Cost: Free Site: https://calibre-ebook.com/ Free, open-source, cross-platform ebook management system. Must have if you have an ebook reader like Kobo or Kindle
Little Snich 4
Cost: $40 Site: https://www.obdev.at/products/littlesnitch/index.html A beautifully designed outbound firewall that lets you keep track on which apps on your computer are making outbound connections and where to. Run it in silent mode and then check every once in a while to ensure no apps are leaking your information to places that they shouldn't be. For example you can block certain apps from reporting to Google Analytics if they haven't asked for your consent to collect analytics.
Cost: $50 Site: https://moneydance.com/ A cross-platform personal finance/budgeting app (no mobile syncing for investments). I only use it for its portfolio (stocks, forex etc.) tracking and end-to-end encrypted syncing capabilities.
App Cleaner & Uninstaller
Cost: Free and Pro for $10 Site: https://nektony.com/mac-app-cleaner Just a little bit more thorough than the free App cleaner from freemacsoft but that one shoud be good enough for you too.
Cost: Free 5 GB. +1GB/each referral Site (link with referral for +1GB upon signup): https://www.sync.com/?sync_refer=8940a2ba0 An end-to-end encrypted dropbox alternative. Use it to backup important documents on the cloud without having to worry about the service/hackers being able to get at the information on the server side.
Better Touch Tool
Cost: $7.5 Site: https://folivora.ai/ Great utility to customize touchbar on your Macbook Pro. Use it with one of the available customization packages to get started.
Cost: $50 (or $40 with code: LEARNSCRIVENER) Site: https://www.literatureandlatte.com/scriveneoverview Porbably the best long-form wirting tool on Mac (and even Windows). I prefer it over Ulysses because it's not subscription based. Free trial available, try it out.
Cost: $15 Site: https://pasteapp.me/ A clipboard manager that prganizes copied information in a great card based system. Allows iCloud based sync too that is optional.
I've seen a lot of people get their coins stolen via being infected by viruses, weak passwords or e-mail accounts being compromised. I would like to or hope to provide some tips on how to protect yourselves against these threats. Feel free to expand upon my points as I know this community will have even better tips than I, myself could hope to provide.
Many infections/viruses come from advertisements that are malicious, most advertisements are safe. If you are using your computer to browse the internet and store your Litecoins you must install ad block plus: https://adblockplus.org/
This alone will decrease your chances of infection drastically. However it is still not enough, we need to be stricter!
Install no-script and only enable it for websites such as reddit or sites you trust. http://noscript.net/
Self-Destructing Cookies, (Firefox only) https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/self-destructing-cookies/ self destructing cookies are just that, cookies that destroy themselves. Cookies on their own aren't dangerous, however you don't want bitcoin specific advertisements targeting you, trying to lure you away into forex style markets. (Ad block plus will not block static advertisements unless specified otherwise)
Web of trust: https://www.mywot.com/ As you are all aware, the community is what has made litecoin, bitcoin what it is today, through community effort, spreading through word of mouth or otherwise.
Web of trust allows you to participate in a community specifically designed to notify people about malicious or non-trustworthy websites. If you install web of trust, you can rate a website based on whether you think it's trustworthy to non-trustworthy. If a website is unrated, you should do your part to rate it. If it looks sketchy, take a look around with adblock, no-script enabled and java disabled. You will be helping the litecoin community out since the content you are more likely to view will be cryptocurrency related. You will also be safeguarding the community from scams and websites that don't deliver on their promises. Other helpful tips:
Enable 2FA (two factor authentication on email accounts associated with bitcoin/litecoin and other crypto currencies (Preferably using a smartphone not connected to the internet using google authenticator)) If you use an online wallet service, enable it for that too.
